Number of Tourists Visiting Armenia Increases

From January to September 2025, a total of 1,734,247 tourists visited Armenia ( 0.8% increase compared to the same period last year) according to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia. The data was sourced from the Electronic Border Management Database of the National Security Service. In the first nine months of 2024, 1,721,245 tourists visited the country.
Of the visitors this year, 957,252 were men and 776,995 were women. The majority of tourists were aged 36–63 (864,724 people, including 502,386 men), while the smallest group was aged 16–17 (27,170 people).
According to the Tourism Committee, 212,891 tourists visited Armenia in October 2025. During the same period last year, 203,810 tourist visits were registered.
In January–October 2025, the largest share of tourists came from Russia (41% of the total), Georgia (12%) and Iran (8%). Visitors from the United States and China each accounted for 3%, France and Germany for 2% each, India and Ukraine for 1.18% each, Italy for 1%, and 25.6% came from other countries.
As for the points of entry, 60% of tourists entered Armenia through Zvartnots International Airport, 20% through Bagratashen, 10% through Bavra, 5% through Meghri, 2.2% through Gogavan, 1.6% through Gyumri, and 1% through the Ayrum border crossing.
