On May 23, Armenia's Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, received a delegation led by Jeff Barr, Vice President and Chief Evangelist at Amazon Web Services (AWS), a global leader in cloud computing, Hayrapetyan said.

"The meeting was aimed at strengthening ongoing cooperation, advancing Armenia's digital transformation strategy, introducing AWS infrastructure in Armenia, as well as expanding cooperation in cloud services."

During the meeting, several issues related to activating internet services through the Kuiper satellite constellation project were also discussed. In my speech, I emphasized the importance of AWS’s support in implementing the "Cloud First Policy."

"Vice President Barr, in turn, highly appreciated the results of cooperation at various levels in Armenia and reaffirmed AWS's continued support for the Armenian government," the minister noted.

The meeting was also attended by Shushan Aleksanyan, Executive Director of Haypost CJSC, who presented the company’s strategy to become a modern digital platform and expand its role in the e-commerce ecosystem. The company is actively exploring cloud migration opportunities in partnership with AWS and aims to integrate into the Amazon platform, with the potential to become a regional logistics center.
