Armenian Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan, during her visit to Brussels, met with EU Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner.

During the meeting the sides discussed the process of the EU-Armenia visa liberalization dialogue, emphasizing the importance of practical steps, the internal affairs ministry said in a readout.

Commissioner Brunner said that a European expert delegation will visit Armenia on June 24 to discuss the draft version of the EU-Armenia visa liberalization action plan. The EU side reiterated readiness to finalize and present to Armenia the action plan as soon as possible.

Minister Sargsyan comprehensively presented the ongoing reforms in Armenia and emphasized the Armenian side’s readiness to make maximum efforts in the direction of swiftly realizing the action plan.

Sargsyan invited Brunner to visit Armenia next year to become acquainted with the ongoing major changes in the country and coordinate the further steps more closely.
