The Armenian parliament’s committee on EU integration affairs endorsed on Friday the bill seeking to launch the process of accession to the EU.
The bill will be debated in the February 11-14 plenary session of parliament.
Opposition MPs from the Hayastan faction announced at the hearing that they will not participate in the vote.
On January 9, the Cabinet endorsed the bill seeking to launch the process of EU integration. The bill was initiated by several civic organizations through a petition which garnered enough votes to be considered as a bill by law.
