Myler Mountain Resort was one of the general partners of Hospitality Investment Forum Yerevan 2025 held on June 18.

Myler, as one of the biggest and long-term, multi-phase investment projects in the tourism sector in Armenia, by participating in the forum reiterated its vision of transforming Armenia into a strategic direction of the hospitality sector.

HIF Yerevan 2025 is an international platform aimed at discussions of the trends in hospitality sector and promoting investment cooperation. Its goal is to develop Armenia’s tourism and hospitality by encouraging investments, private-public partnerships and presenting Armenia as a competitive direction.

“With its scale and vision Myler is unprecedented in Armenia with its prospects of becoming a leading regional and global alpine skiing complex and positioning our country on the international tourism map. It is a strategic investment which can transform perceptions about mountain resorts in the region and create lasting values with long-term impact. We are shaping a new behavior with this project: people no longer associate alpine skiing leisure with abroad, and we seek to make Armenia the country where tourists would travel to with a special purpose,” Myler Mountain Resort founder Tigran Harutyunyan said in his remarks, delivering a speech on the topic of “Elevating Mountain Tourism: Strategic Hospitality Investment and the Myler Resort Model for Regional Growth.”

According to Tigran Harutyunyan, without prospective investments such complexes remain seasonal and partial and depend on weather conditions.

Speaking about strategic investment units implemented in Myler, he pointed out the selection of the location (Myler is just 1 hour away from the Zvartnots airport), the cooperations with international partners and the development of European-standard infrastructures as part of it, such as the artificial snow system. Myler is situated next to a large reservoir, which allows to have a stable season and ensure snow-covered slopes regardless of unfavorable weather changes. The other strategically important infrastructures are the slopes of various degrees of difficulty designed for both beginners, children, and professional skiers, as well as the latest-generation ropeways.

It is planned to build a 50-meter observation tower at 2850 meter altitude in Myler which would allow visitors to admire the landscape featuring the Ararat, Aragats, Ara and Hatis mountains. An Art District will be created at Myler, where young talents will have the chance to express themselves and showcase their talent.

In total, in the final phase Myler will have a total of 17 main ropeways, chairlift and gondola (total capacity 41,400 passengers per hour), surface lifts for beginners, as well as 102km long skiing slopes with 4 levels of difficulty, capable of hosting 17,000 skiers simultaneously.

“Targeted capital investments create long-term economic and public value, transforming infrastructures into large-scale ecosystems. These investments contribute to the development of not only the tourism sector, but other strategically important sectors of our country, Horeca, sports. They also shape a new culture,” the Myler Mountain Resort founder said.

Tigran Harutyunyan also emphasized the project’s involvement in the regional proportional development, underscoring the envisaged steps in the direction of creating jobs, economic development of the community and improvement of infrastructures.

Myler is a clearly designed investment opportunity: Since 2024, by the decision of the Government of Armenia, it has the status of a free economic zone. This means that all companies who would invest in Myler now will be exempt of profit tax and VAT for 20 years.

During the Hospitality Investment Forum Yerevan 2025, the visitors, as well as experts and investors in the sector, through direct interactions had the chance to get acquainted with the investment projects and opportunities of the complex, the prospects and advantages of making investments.
