Armenian Deputies Have a Number of Meetings in Washington

The Chair of the Armenian National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan, the members of the Armenia-USA Friendship Group Arusyak Julhakyan, Maria Karapetyan and Gegham Nazaryan, being on a working visit in Washington had a number of meetings in the U.S. House of Representatives, the press service of the Parliament has said in a readout.
The delegation met with the Member of the U.S. Congress House of Representatives Carol Miller, the Member of the U.S. Congressional Armenian Caucus (CAC) Young Kim, the Member of the U.S. Congress House of Representatives Robert Aderholt and the Member of the U.S. Congress House of Representatives Delia Ramirez.
During the meetings, the importance of the multi-sectoral strategic partnership signed between Armenia and the United States in January of this year was underscored, as well as the necessity for the continuous development and deepening of active inter-parliamentary ties.
The deputies of the National Assembly deputies presented the details of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and the readiness of Armenia to sign the peace agreement as soon as possible to the Congress members.
They touched upon the possibilities of unblocking the regional transport and economic routes, as well as the Crossroads of Peace project initiated by the Armenian government. Both sides highlighted the need to establish stable and long-lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
