Tuesday, October 14, 2025
Armenia and the United States have been working jointly towards the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said on Tuesday.
“The section of the railway that will pass through southern Armenia will be called TRIPP; it has a clear name and principles. These principles are territorial integrity, inviolability of borders, sovereignty, countries’ jurisdiction over these infrastructures, and, of course, reciprocity,” Mirzoyan said at a joint press conference with OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Finland’s FM Elina Valtonen.
“When we have a complete final picture, we will make it public. The details still need to be clarified between Armenia and the United States.”
Mirzoyan also added that there will be an Armenian-American joint company that will take responsibility for the development and subsequent operation of the route.
The FM emphasized that, at this moment, the only agreed-upon details regarding TRIPP are those that have been made public
The Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity is a connectivity project in Armenia envisaged under the U.S.-brokered Armenian-Azerbaijani joint declaration signed in Washington, D.C. The project is expected to unlock strategic economic opportunities that will create long term benefits by promoting infrastructure investment and enhancing regional connectivity.
