During today’s briefing, representative of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan said the units of the Defense Army of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) acted brilliantly, adding that Azerbaijan left dozens, if not hundreds of dead bodies on the road to Shushi and were destroyed, and the defenders of Karin Tak and other nearby villages acted heroically.
According to him, the enemy used elite units that are well-armed and can lead battles for a long time.
“The defense operation continues. Whereas the 8th of May 1992 was marked as the day of liberation of Shushi, these days will go down in Armenian history as the days of defense of Shushi. Overall, the situation has changed. The battles continue, but there is less intensity. The military operation to destroy the sabotage groups continues. The enemy is trying to seize major road junctions in vain,” Hovhannisyan said.
