Armenia, Iran to Open Joint Production Enterprises and Factories

He highlighted the work being carried out within the framework of the Free Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Iran, stressing the importance of cooperation with Armenia in this context.
“Our country has very good relations with the Republic of Armenia. The volume of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries is gradually increasing. During our recent visit with President Masoud Pezeshkian, we discussed all areas of cooperation: production, trade, supply of goods and mineral development. We also talked about mutual investments, the implementation of production projects, and expanding sales opportunities in the markets,” Atabak said.
He underlined that both sides see great potential for further collaboration.
On September 24, the first joint committee for the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement between Iran and the EAEU convened in Moscow. The agenda includes eliminating quantitative restrictions and technical barriers to imports from EAEU countries, digitalizing trade, developing the “North-South” international transport corridor and other issues of mutual interest.
