Organizes, coordinates, and manages student transportation services, including route development, scheduling, and contract administration
Additionally, coordinates and participates in the acquisition of services for the district, focusing primarily on the development, analysis, and management of contracts
Develops and manages student transportation schedules and routes, utilizing transportation planning software
Analyzes student enrollment, locations, schedules, and special needs to optimize routes
Serves as a liaison between transportation contractors, schools and parents
Monitors and ensures compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards
Responds to transportation related emergencies and incidents
Develops and manages contracts for transportation and other services, including bid preparation, analysis, and award recommendations
Reviews and analyzes contracts to ensure compliance with district policies and legal requirements
Monitors contract performance and prepares related reports
Manages vendor relationships
Assists in the preparation of transportation related budgets
Maintains accurate records and documentation
Communicates effectively with staff, contractors, and community
Stays up to date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices
Drive a personal vehicle to attend meetings, training sessions, and conduct work
Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Three years of relevant experience in transportation management and/or contract administration, preferably at the technical level, with some supervision experience
Experience with transportation routing software and database management
Experience in the development and administration of contracts
College level coursework in business administration, or related field
Written and oral proficiency in a second language
License or Certificate:
Possession of a valid State of California Class C driver's license
Also, ability to be insured at standard vehicle liability and property damage insurance rates and maintain insurability
Prior to employment, a candidate must submit proof of freedom from tuberculosis

Salary:

$71,739.20 - $96,137.60
