Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and dependable Transfer Station Manager to oversee daily operations at our waste and recycling transfer station. This position is responsible for managing employees, equipment, inbound and outbound loads, customer service, safety procedures, facility cleanliness, and overall production efficiency.

The ideal candidate should be a strong leader who can manage a fast paced yard environment, keep operations organized, communicate clearly with drivers and employees, and make sure the facility runs safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Hours are 6AM-5PM Mon-Fri and 7AM-2PM Sat.

Training is provided

Job Requirements:

Qualified candidates should have:

Prior experience managing or supervising a transfer station, recycling facility, waste facility, construction yard, trucking operation, warehouse, or similar industrial operation.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage employees in a busy work environment.

Ability to safely coordinate trucks, equipment, employees, and customers in the yard.

Strong understanding of workplace safety and the ability to enforce safety rules consistently.

Ability to communicate clearly with drivers, employees, customers, and management.

Basic computer skills for reports, emails, spreadsheets, scale tickets, and daily tracking.

Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Fluent English is required, Spanish is a big plus.
