Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing tax practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in small business taxation and hands-on experience managing client engagements from start to finish. This role requires both technical tax expertise and the ability to lead client relationships in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for small businesses, partnerships, S corporations, and individuals.

Manage client engagements and ensure timely completion of filings and deliverables.

Identify and implement tax planning opportunities for closely held businesses and their owners.

Supervise, train, and review work prepared by junior staff and associates.

Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and proactive service.

Research and resolve complex tax issues; stay current on tax law developments.

Collaborate with firm leadership on process improvements and workflow efficiency.

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on small business taxation.

Proficiency in Lacerte Tax Software (required).

Strong understanding of S-Corp, partnership, and individual tax compliance.

Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA, EA license or CPA eligibility strongly preferred.
