Job Description:

Glendale Workers’ Compensation Law Firm is in need of a full time LEGAL ASSISTANT/PARALEGAL who will be working with and assisting two attorneys and several other paralegals on workers' compensation defense cases. 2 years of experience in a workers' compensation firm is needed. The ideal candidate must be familiar with workers' compensation procedures and EAMS. Candidate must be organized and have the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to drafting letters and pleadings, E-Filing with EAMS, preparing files for hearings, reviewing incoming mail and e-mails and helping attorneys with responses, contacting law offices and doctors' offices etc.

Pleasant demeanor
**Excellent written and verbal communication skills
**Punctual with good attendance/Excellent time management skills
**Good skills in utilizing Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
**Energetic/Self-motivated/Enthusiastic and eager to learn
**Able to multi-task at all times
**Must be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines/Highly detail-oriented
**Able to get along and take orders from many co-workers in similar and higher positions (attorneys, paralegals/hearing reps/attorneys)
**Must be able to work in a very fast-paced office assisting multiple people at a time
