Conduct routine rounds, safety checks, and hourly documentation in client observation logs.
Monitor clients’ wellbeing and report behavioral or medical concerns to nursing or clinical staff immediately.
Take and record vital signs, withdrawal scales (CIWA/COWS), and document results accurately.
Assist in medication observation and verify counts with nursing or med-tech staff.
Supervise daily activities such as groups, meals, hygiene routines, and facility chores.
Ensure all shift logs, fridge-temperature logs, and shift-exchange forms are completed accurately.
Support clients during emotional distress, cravings, or withdrawal symptoms while maintaining professional boundaries.
Perform property searches, intake and discharge procedures, and maintain client confidentiality.
Respond to medical or behavioral emergencies following the facility’s emergency protocol.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all facility areas, including client rooms, common areas, and IMS stations.
Communicate clearly with incoming staff during shift change and participate in team meetings or trainings.
