We are a very busy family practice. In addition to possessing the experience referenced below, our ideal candidate maintains decorum reflective of a medical office: professional, articulate, welcoming to patients, takes direction well. Additional language skills such as Armenian is a bonus.

Greet patients
Ensure signed-in patients are in the appointment book, marked arrived and chart pulled
Answer phone calls
Provide paperwork, obtain insurance copy, and create a chart for new patients
Sort through faxes and separate them for filing or for doctor’s review
Discharge patients by obtaining co-pay , filling out lab requisition forms, and providing information for referrals
Provide ICD for lab and radiology billing
Schedule appointments
Prepare pre-op paperwork and fax to specialists offices
Obtain prior authorization regarding medications
Submit prior authorization for patients for specialists
Input new patient information into EMR and prepare information for billing
Prepare nursing home and house call patient progress notes and appointments
Fill out all legal documentation (EDD, FMLA, school physicals, travel insurance and medical supplies)
Clarify medication and directions with patients and pharmacies
Manage meeting and conferences
Help back office with vitals if needed
