Grant-funded positions are time-limited and contingent upon sufficient funding

The incumbent will provide instructional and clerical assistance in the DESTINO|MESA Science Resource Center; assists the Director clerically in the preparation of grant materials, instructional supplies, and monitoring student progress and participation
Type of position: Full time (40 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday-Thursday; May include evenings and Saturdays
Under the direction of a MESA Director, provides instructional and clerical assistance in the DESTINO|MESA Science Resource Center; assists the Director clerically in the preparation of grant materials, instructional supplies, and monitoring student progress and participation
Assist students in the proper use of related lab equipment and materials; and perform related duties as assigned
The Instructional Aide – MESA Program assists students in personalized instruction in MESA requirements and opportunities, accessing and using related STEM laboratory equipment
The position assist students in the proper use of STEM lab equipment and materials and supports the Director clerically in the preparation of grant materials and implementation of Personal Success Plans for MESA students

Qualifications

Graduation from high school or G.E.D
equivalent and one (1) year of instructional assistance experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
May require a valid California driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the District’s vehicle insurance policy
Meeting the minimum requirements of the position does not guarantee advancement in the selection process

If the position requires a college degree, transcripts or copy of a diploma, the required document must be attached at the time of application
If you participate in and fail any examination segment, you must wait a period of 90 days (~3 months) to test again for the same classification

Salary:

$45,459.60 - $55,744.44
