HR & Safety Manager (Transportation Company, Office-Based)

A growing transportation company is looking for an experienced HR & Safety Manager with strong knowledge of the trucking industry. Our company operates semi-trucks and is also in the process of developing its brokerage division. We are building for long-term growth and will need support hiring and managing not only truck drivers, but also brokers, dispatchers, and mechanics in the future.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow with the company and play an important role in building the team and supporting daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Hire and onboard 1099 and W-2 drivers/employees
• Support recruiting for current and future positions, including drivers, dispatchers, brokers, and mechanics
• Manage driver communication and employee support
• Monitor safety compliance and driver performance
• Handle HR and safety documentation, including W-9s, W-2s, agreements, and safety records
• Work closely with dispatch and brokerage teams
• Support internal processes across trucking and brokerage operations
