The Quality Assurance Specialist (QA) at our agency is responsible for ensuring that all clinical documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with Medicare, state, and ACHC standards. This includes reviewing all OASIS assessments, Plan of Care (485) forms, visit notes, and physician orders to confirm that the information is consistent, clearly documented, and submitted in a timely manner. The QA works closely with our field staff to provide guidance, request corrections, and offer supportive feedback that helps improve the quality of documentation across the agency. They are also responsible for keeping charts organized, ensuring physician signatures are obtained, and maintaining records that are always ready for audit or survey review. I expect the QA to communicate professionally, follow up promptly, and help foster a positive, collaborative environment while ensuring high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. Their role is essential in helping our agency operate smoothly, stay compliant, and provide exceptional service to every patient we serve.
