Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Billing and Coding Specialist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
Assign appropriate DRG, CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding to medical procedures and diagnoses
Review and update medical records with accurate coding information
Manage medical billing processes, including submission of claims and follow-up on unpaid claims
Conduct medical collections to ensure timely payments from insurance companies and patients
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards
Utilize EMR/EHR systems to input, retrieve, and organize patient information
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and coding guidelines
Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and optimize billing accuracy
Skills
