• Review bid packages, architectural drawings, engineering documents, and project specifications.
• Interpret project requirements and identify signage scope, materials, dimensions, and installation methods.
• Prepare detailed shop drawings for fabrication and installation.
• Create production-ready files for CNC, laser cutting, and large-format printing.
• Produce technical drawings, elevations, and signage mockups based on project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, local building codes, ADA requirements, and client standards.
• Prepare permit drawings and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, estimators, production staff, and installers to resolve technical issues.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from clients, architects, engineers, or consultants.
• Propose improved design or engineering solutions when you see a better way.
• Maintain organized project documentation and drawing revisions.
• Support production by answering fabrication questions and giving clear technical clarification.
• Deliver accurate drawings within project schedules.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience preparing shop drawings and/or production files, preferably in signage, architectural, or construction industries. Strong candidates with solid fundamentals and less experience are also encouraged to apply.
• A good understanding of architectural and construction drawings.
• Experience interpreting bid documents and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (required).
• Knowledge of fabrication methods for aluminum, steel, acrylic, vinyl, illuminated signage, and structural mounting systems.
• Familiarity with ADA signage requirements and municipal signage standards (an asset).
• Strong attention to detail, good organization, and the ability to manage several projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Software & Tools

Required: AutoCAD, CorelDRAW, and basic 3D design or rendering tools.
Strongly preferred: Revit.
Nice to have: ArchiCAD, ArtCAM, SolidWorks / Fusion, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, 3ds Max.
